This non-refundable deposit secures your place in the Wearable Art commission queue.

Wearable Art pieces are designed and made to order for individual dogs, with every detail created especially for you. Each piece is hand drawn, carved, painted and finished by hand, inspired by the stories we create with our dogs.

The current waitlist is approximately 5–6 months, although this may change depending on demand. Once your deposit has been paid, you’ll be added to the queue. I’ll contact you when you’re second from the top to begin discussing your design, measurements, leather colours, hardware and finishing details.

In the meantime…

You don’t need to have your design completely figured out when you join the queue - in fact, that’s part of what we’ll work through together.

But if you already have ideas, start collecting them! Colour palettes, photos, artwork, native plants, landscapes, patterns, textures, or anything else that captures the elements or general vibe you’re drawn to can all be useful references.

Having some inspiration gathered before I contact you means we can get into the fun design details sooner, and generally makes the process much quicker and easier for both of us. Your references don’t need to make sense to anyone else - sometimes a collection of colours and a few random images tells me far more than a perfectly articulated design brief.

Pricing

The final price of your commission will depend on the size and complexity of the design, with Wearable Art commissions starting at $250. Your deposit will be applied towards the final balance.

Please note

  • This deposit is non-refundable.
  • Purchasing this product secures your place in the commission queue; it does not purchase one of the example pieces shown.
  • The examples shown are inspiration only. Your finished piece will be created specifically for your dog.
  • The final price will be confirmed before work begins.
  • Please get in touch before purchasing if you’d like to discuss an idea, check the current waitlist or receive an estimated price.

Thank you for supporting slow, thoughtful craftsmanship and allowing me to create something genuinely one-of-a-kind for your dog.

Materials

Why Choose Solid Brass Hardware?

Solid brass hardware is the perfect complement to leather products, offering unmatched strength and durability. Brass is resistant to corrosion and tarnish, ensuring that it will maintain its appearance and function over time, even with regular use. Its longevity means fewer replacements, making it a more sustainable choice for your leather goods. Additionally, brass is 100% recyclable, making it an eco-friendly option that reduces environmental impact. By choosing solid brass hardware, you're investing in quality, durability, and sustainability—an ideal combination for both your leather items and the planet.

Why Choose Leather?

Vegetable-tanned leather is a natural, durable, and timeless material that synthetic alternatives can’t match. It’s crafted using plant-based tannins, biodegradable, and free from unnecessary chemicals, making it safer for dogs, people, and the planet. The leather I use is a byproduct of the food industry, not sourced from animals raised specifically for their hides, so choosing leather helps reduce waste while supporting sustainable practices.

Over time, it develops a rich patina that tells the story of its use, giving each piece a unique, personal character. Vegetable-tanned leather also breathes naturally, improving comfort and functionality. With proper care, it can last a lifetime — and when combined with repairability and our lifetime guarantee, it’s a sustainable choice that keeps gear out of landfill and in use for years.

Care

  • Rinse under fresh water after use in the ocean.
  • If your item becomes dirty, simple give it a gentle scrub in warm soapy water, leave to dry in the sun, then thoroughly condition to prevent the leather losing it’s natural oils.
  • Condition regularly using a natural non-toxic leather balm. The newer the item, the more frequently it will need conditioning. Aim for monthly for the first 3 months, then bi-monthly for 6months, then bi-annually. If well conditioned, your items should never dry out or turn brittle and will last a lifetime.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every piece of gear I make is designed to last a lifetime — and I stand fully behind it. That’s why all Core Range collars, leashes, and harnesses come with a lifetime guarantee. If your gear ever fails due to a material or workmanship issue, I’ll repair or replace it — no questions asked.

Beyond the guarantee, I encourage maintaining and repairing your gear whenever possible. Small repairs, conditioning, or hardware swaps can give your item years of extra life, reducing waste and keeping it out of landfill.

This isn’t just about durability — it’s about creating gear that you can trust, care for, and enjoy for years, while minimizing your impact on the planet. Gear made once, loved forever.
